Your Figma card

Before you start

• You have a Figma account with your @ewu.edu address.
• You joined the class team with the invite link in the Week 0 module in Canvas.

Make your card

1. Open the shared Figma file from the Canvas assignment. The canvas shows the card to copy.

2. Select the frame named card-template. A blue outline surrounds it.

   Canvas currently uses desn368f26 intro cards for this step. In the linked Figma file, the frame to copy is labeled card-template.

3. Press Cmd+D on a Mac, or Ctrl+D on Windows. A copy of the card appears above the original.

4. Drag your copy to one of the card placeholders on the canvas. The original stays where it was.

5. Double-click the name of your copy above its top-left corner, type your own name, and press Return.

6. Hold Cmd on a Mac, or Ctrl on Windows, and click a layer inside your copy. Change it as the list below describes. Repeat for each part of the card.

What goes on the card

• Banner: a color you would put on your own site. Type its HEX code in a corner of the banner.
• Avatar: a picture of you, or of something that stands for you.
• Name, pronouns, and "tell me something good": fill in all three.
• The scales: on each scale, color the one dot that marks where you sit: Introverted to Extroverted, Spontaneous to Planner, and New to code to Comfortable with code.
• What do you hope to make in Web Design + Code 1? Answer in one or two sentences.
• A website you love: a screenshot of a website you love, and one sentence on what makes it good.

Submit in Canvas

1. In the shared file, right-click your card's frame and choose Copy/Paste as, then Copy link.
2. Paste that link into APPLY: Figma Card in Canvas.
