Follow one of the learning paths in the Canvas assignment before writing in your README.
The short site practice showed you how a heading and list change in a preview. Now work through one of the learning paths allowed by APPLY: Markdown Tutorial in Canvas. Do this before you write the Markdown practice section in your own README.
Choose one path
- Work through all seven lessons at Markdown Tutorial, or
- Read GitHub's “Getting started with Markdown” article.
These are the two choices in the Canvas assignment. Its Due field is the place to check your deadline.
Bring the practice back
Your Markdown proof lives in your private GitHub repository; you submit its link in Canvas. In the next lesson, you will add ## Markdown practice at the end of README.md and show the features Canvas names: emphasis, headings, two kinds of links, an image with alternative text, a blockquote, two kinds of lists, and paragraphs with a hard line break. The next lesson includes the reference-link and line-break steps if you chose the GitHub article.
